Let me be a typical boudoir photographer for a moment and just say “AHHHHH.” I love this session. 🙂
I love my natural clients who prefer a more minimal look. Boudoir does not have to be a smokey eye and a heavy, made-up look. This natural boudoir look features a natural, fresh look that was consistent with the client’s minimal makeup style. Our makeup artists are happy to create this look – makeup that’s camera ready but still very natural and fresh. A light foundation and sexy “bedroom” hair that matches the look.
Her first outfit is a fav of mine as well – and another great example of the fact that you don’t have to wear lingerie for every outfit of your boudoir session. AND, if you love her gorgeous shirt as much as I do – I have GREAT news for you – this shirt is now part of my ever growing wardrobe of outfits you can borrow for your session. I keep a rack of clothes in my studio for clients who may want to borrow them.
And if you’re looking for ideas for your natural boudoir session…check out the way she made her session personal for her husband. She included dice from a game they play together. She also brought her mandolin since they love playing music together. We can add anything personal and meaningful to your session in a way that works for you.
This client chose for her final outfit a “Friday night date night” look and we finished her session outside near my home. Feel free to bring an outfit to wear outdoors so you’ll have a set of images that you can share on Facebook and have framed for your loved one’s desk or your wall!
