For the record, I’m not a fan of the term “plus size” but it’s been the “norm” for a while, so I know a lot of you still use the term when you’re looking for ideas! I believe that plus size boudoir photography is just like ANY other amazing boudoir shoot for me. My priority as an artist is to find your best angles – and we all have them! As a curvy girl myself, I understand that you want flattering photos. I love creating a fun, low-key environment where you will be comfortable and you’ll be able to relax and enjoy having the photos taken!
You also have control over your photos by choosing the right outfits. This session exemplifies selecting a wardrobe that is both sexy, flattering and versatile. She’s topped a bra and panty set with a light blue dress shirt – the addition of the shirt gives us more posing options. And I love her choice of a black shapewear one-piece that has the look of a high-end and retro-vibed bodysuit – and bodysuits are HAWT right now! Lighter versions of shapewear are a fantastic option – look for one-piece options or high-waisted looks. Be sure to try everything on well ahead of time and plan on returning anything you don’t absolutely love. Don’t settle for something that’s “just okay” or that you don’t love.
